Digital anti-counterfeit technique uses computer technology to generate a unique “digital code” with fixed length consisting of 0-9 as “anti-counterfeit code” for each product, each “anti-counterfeit code” is printed on a label and circulates with a product, and the user can send an “anti-counterfeit code” back to the “digital code anti-counterfeit system” via telephone or other communication mode to verify whether a product is genuine or not. In 1996, Beijing Pan-Pass Info Tech Co., Ltd., the pioneer of digital anti-counterfeiting technique, introduced this technique into the anti-counterfeit sector. Presently, it has been widely used in this sector and a comprehensive information anti-counterfeit service system which is called digital anti-counterfeit system has been formed. The system is a modern information system integrating anti-counterfeit, channel conflicting prevention, corporate management and promotion activity etc.
Digital anti-counterfeit technique is a kind of digital information verification anti- counterfeit technique. It assigns a unique digital code (anti-counterfeit code) that has been specially encrypted to each product. This digital code is stored in Pan-Pass center database and an anti-counterfeit label containing this code is attached on the product. After purchase, the user can input the anti-counterfeit code on the product via telephone or Internet and the Pan-Pass anti-counterfeit system will then check the center database and tell the user whether the product is genuine or not.
