Technical features
Design, plate making, printing and the printed results are different from those of ordinary printing.
Design: unlike the design of ordinary printed product, graphic pattern of engraved intaglio printing is formed by lines with specific color.
Plate making: material and process of engraved intaglio plate making are different for that of ordinary printed product.
Printing: printing under several tons of pressure with special engraved intaglio printing equipment and special gravure ink.
Results: the pattern has a strong three-dimensional perception. You may feel an obvious unevenness when touching with your finger tip.

Verification method
Feel with your finger tip an obvious unevenness. E.g. the engrave intaglio printed head portrait of Chairman Mao in the 100-yuan banknote (the fifth edition).

Application
It is mainly used in anti-counterfeit of products such as banknotes, securities, trademarks, certificates, etc.
